Day 1 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing

 

Day 2 Beijing (B/L)

Tiananmen Square

the world's largest public plaza, is located in the center of Beijing. It was first built in 1417 and named Chengtianmen( the Gate of Heavenly Succession). At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was seriously damaged by war. When it was rebuilt under the Qing in 1651, it was renamed Tian’anmen, and served as the main entrance to the Imperial City, the administrative and residential quarters for court officials and retainers.

 

 

The forbidden city

home to 24 emperors between the 15th and 20th centuries of Ming and Qing Dynasty and many priceless artifacts today. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost five centuries, it served as the home of the Emperor and his household, as well as the ceremonial and political centre of Chinese government.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L)

The Great Wall

the only man-made wonder on earth visible from the out space, The Great Wall of China is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in northern China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks during various successive dynasties. Since the 5th century BC, several walls have been built that were referred to as the Great Wall. One of the most famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains; the majority of the existing wall were built during the Ming Dynasty.

 

The Ming Tomb

The Ming Tombs are located about 31 miles from Beijing, with 13 emperors buried in a complex that spreads some 15 square miles. Visitors approach the tombs through The Great Red Gate.

 

Day 4 Guilin (B/L)

Fly to Guilin

Visit the Longji Terraces

The Longji (Dragon Spine) Terrace began its construction in the Yuan Dynasty and was completed in early Qing Dynasty, a history of 650 years. The rolling mountains are sculptured with tightly packed terraces on the precipitous slopes, extending for hundreds of miles.

Visit the moon mountain

If you feel you have the energy, you may climb 819 steps to get to the top of Moon Hill. At the top, you will be afforded a bird's-eye-view of the surrounding hills. Have a close look at the "Moon," which used to be the underground river cannel.

 

Day 5 Guilin /Chongqing (Cruise) (B/L)

Day 6 Cruise (B/L)

Arrive in Fengdu ancient town, visit the ghost city

It got its reputation as the "Ghost City"in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Two officials from the imperial court: WangFangping and Yin Changsheng, got bored with the political life in the court andcame to Mt. Minshanoutside Fengdu City to practice Taoist teachings. Bothof them later became immortals by carrying out self-cultivation. This storywidely spread and Mt. Minshan became famous.When combined together, their surnames Yin and Wang, sound very much like"King of Hell" in Chinese. Hence the people began to call Fengdu the"Ghost City". It was the legendary capitalof The Ghost King sculptured statue is 138 meters high and 217 meters wide. Thetongue only is 81 meters long and mouth 70 meters wide. The pictures are carvedin to the mountain for a depth of 26 meters. Visitors can climb the body of theking to the top of the mountain. Guinness World Records has listed it as thebiggest sculpture carved on a rock.Ghost State by Daoists.

Day 7 Cruise (B/L)

Visit the Three Gorges whole day

The Three Gorges region is a scenic area along the Yangtze River in the Hubei province of the People's Republic of China with a total length of approximately 200 km. The Three Gorges occupy approximately 120 km within this region. Although it is primarily famous for its scenery, the Three Gorges region is historically and culturally an important region in China. A representation of the westernmost gorge appears on China's currency in the back of the paper 5 yuan note.

Day 8 Yichang (B/L)

Go to Wuhan city by bus

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province, People's Republic of China, and is the most populous city in central China. It lies at the east of Jianghan Plain, and the intersection of the middle reaches of the Yangtze and Han River.

Day 9 Shanghai (B/L)

Fly to Shanghai

Yu Yuan Garden

Yuyuan Garden is a famous classical garden located in Anren Jie, Shanghai. The garden was finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) named Pan Yunduan. Yu in Chinese means pleasing and satisfying, and this garden was specially built for Pan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age.

The Jade Buddha Temple

The Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai, China. As with many modern Chinese Buddhist temples, the current temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism.

Shanghai Museum

Located in the center of Shanghai in People's Square, Shanghai Museum is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. The museum style and presentation surround visitors with artifacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land.

 

 

Day 10 Shanghai (B)

Visit the oriental pearl tower

The Oriental Pearl Tower stands by the bank of Huangpu River. It is in the centre of Lujiazui, opposite to the Bund which is famous for its grand buildings of various architectural styles. The tower is 468 metres high. It is the highest TV Tower in Asia and is the third highest one in the world. The designers magically set the eleven beautiful spheres of various sizes up from the green grassland to the blue sky with two giant spheres shining like two rubies. The whole design is rich in poetic and pictorial splendor., which gives the tourists the impression that pearls of Various sizes are dropping onto the emerald plate.
